30 possible extra credit points

This extra credit assignment is to construct a 3-D model of a DNA strand.
 

Look in your Heredity book

           1.  The model has to be 10 cm in width and 30 cm in length

         2.  The model has to have at least 10 steps to the ladder.

         3. The ladder has to be twisted just like a DNA strand.

 4. The ladder has to have a string 30cm long, so I can hang it from the ceiling.

 5.  Each step must be labeled with the correct letters that represent the nitrogen bases that make them up.

 6. You can find the four nitrogen bases in your book.

  7.  A one page typed report must be included.  Include information about who discovered DNA, what it looks like, its job, and how it replicates.

The model can be constructed out of anything you want.  Just make sure that your model follows the guidelines above.
